About the Artist

Realism, rural life, the beauty of the natural world and places with history are the passions of my drawing and painting. Generally I create what I like without an eye as to whether I can sell it or not. I will consider accepting commissioned work from clients, so if you like my style and would like me to paint or draw something specific for you, please contact me directly.

I am a simple French-Canadian woman currently living in southeastern New Brunswick, Canada with my husband and five children. We live in a hunt camp half a kilometre down a dirt track from the nearest road of any consequence. During most of the year we can drive to our door, in the dead of winter though, we have to hike in and out. Our camp is one and a half stories, sixteen by twenty-four feet. We have limited space, but this is what we can afford at this time.

An artist friend gave me an old homemade easel, which stands at the end of our bed. This is where I do my work. Because I am a full time mother and homemaker with some physical limitations, I work a little at a time. Each time I finish a piece, I plan for the next one, buy another canvas and go back to work. Unsold work decorates the unfinished walls.

I was tutored by a Madame Provencher, who was a professional artist, living in Farnham, Quebec where I was born and grew up. I've studied with other programs since then and especially like the online tutorials by Bob Ross.

If you are visiting my site for the first time, please take the time to view the work in my galleries. The links are at the top of the page right under the title. I hope you enjoy my work as much as I enjoy creating it. Prints and other products are available for sale by simply clicking on the images in the galleries.
